ECCB'12 - Arriving by plane

BSL

Basel can be reached from most major European cities either directly (BSL) or via Zürich (ZRH) airport.

The conference center can be reached from  Basel EuroAirport (BSL) in 20 minutes by taxi (ca. 50 CHF) or 30 minutes by public transport (ca. 4 CHF). Travelling from Zürich Airport (ZRH) takes ca. 90 minutes by train to the conference site (ca. 40 CHF).

Arring by plane:

Basel EuroAirport (BSL / MLH)

Basel EuroAirport (BSL / MLH) is the most convenient airport for ECCB'12. When arriving at Basel airport, take the exit to "Switzerland" (not France). For public transport, take bus line 50 to SBB train station and from there tram lines 1 or 2 to "Messeplatz". Taxis can be found at the arrival level in front of the exit.

Zürich (ZRH) Trains to Basel are leaving from Zürich airport every 30 minutes (either direct or via Zürich main station; train schedules are displayed at the luggage belts). Take the train to either Basel SBB or Basel Badischer Bahnhof (see arrival by train). Please note that travelling by taxi from ZRH airport to the conference site is very expensive, and will typically not be refunded by any funding agency.
